How can I set my Responsible Gaming Limits?

There are a few different methods that you can set for Responsible Gaming limits, these include:

1)    Gaming Limits - Daily/Weekly/Monthly
2)    Deposit Limits
3)    Spend Limits (Loss Limits)
4)    Session Limits

See details and examples below.

1)    Gaming Limits - Daily/Weekly/Monthly

We offer the ability for our players to limit the amount of money that they are able to gamble online using their account on a daily, weekly and monthly basis should they so wish. These amounts may be decreased at any time which will take effect immediately once requested.

Please note regarding any increases to limits:

  • Any increase to a daily limit will only be implemented and become effective after 1.00am ET following your request.
  • Any increase to a weekly limit will only be implemented after 1.00am ET on the Monday following your request. As such the limit is set or re-set according to the calendar week which begins on Monday at 1.00am ET.
  • Any increase to a monthly limit will only be implemented and become effective at 1.00am ET on the first day of the following month

This will ensure you will always have time in order to re-consider your decision to increase your limit should you wish to. This facility is available in the ‘My Account’ on the top right hand side on the website once you have logged in, and then clicking the ‘Responsible Gaming’ option.

Please remember, that when setting or updating your limits, to click on the green tab marked “UPDATE LIMITS” at the bottom of the screen.

2)    Deposit Limits

A ‘Deposit Limit’ represents the cumulative total amount of cash that a player has deposited. The limit does not take into account deposits made retrospectively during the period chosen and is effective from the date requested going forward for the applicable period of time selected.

Example 1

Player has not previously set a limit but having already deposited $40 he or she decides to introduce a daily deposit limit of $100. The limit will take effect immediately but will not include deposits made earlier that day.

The following day the player decides to change his or her limit reducing it to $50 having already deposited $60 that morning. This change will take place immediately and no more deposits can be made.

After a few days the player then decides he or she would like to increase their deposit limit to $200 per day. This limit will not take effect until 1.00 am ET the following day.

Example 2

Player has already made a deposit of $200 at some during the month. He or she then decides to set a monthly deposit limit on their account and sets it to $100. This will take effect immediately but will disregard the previous deposits made during that month. Between the time of setting the limit and the end of the calendar month the player will be able to deposit a further $100.

The following month he or she makes 2 deposits of $50 each and finds he or she cannot deposit again, due the $100 limit in this example. The Player goes to his or her account settings and changes the limit to $500. The new increased limit will not take effect until 1.00am ET the 1st of the following month.

Please remember, that when setting or updating your limits, to click on the green tab marked “UPDATE LIMITS” at the bottom of the screen.

3)    Spend Limits

A ‘Spend Limit’ (also referred to as ‘loss limit’) will monitor the difference between the Player’s balance at the beginning of the particular time period and at any time during that time period. This limit when used will stop you as a Player wagering once loss is equal to or would otherwise exceed the specified limit during that time period.

Example 1

A Player has set a daily loss limit of $100, and the following sequence has occurred:

  • The Player starts the day with $1,000 in the cashier balance.
  • The Player wagers $100, and wins, receiving $200, for a new balance of $1,100.
  • The Player wagers $50 and loses for a new balance of $1,050.
  • The Player wagers $100 and loses, for a new balance of $950.
  • The Player attempts to wager $100 as his next bet but receives a warning message stating ‘Limited Reached’ and the bet is prevented from being placed. The limit set will not permit the Player to place a further $100 wager as this would potentially cause the Spend Limit to be exceeded should the wager be a losing bet.
  • The player in the above example is permitted to bet up to $50.

At this point, the Player’s balance cannot go below $900 for that day.

On the next day, the process will restart at 1.00am ET.

Note that deposits made during a time period are ignored for the purposes of the spend limit. They are, however, included in the “opening balance” on the next time period. Thus, if the previous example was modified as follows:

  • The Player starts the day with $1,000
  • The Player wagers $100, and wins, receiving $200, for a new balance of $1,100
  • The Player wagers $50 and loses for a new balance of $1,050
  • The Player deposits $100 for a new balance of $1,150
  • The Player wagers $100 and loses, for a new balance of $1,050
  • In this sequence the Player may now only wager up to a further $50 even though the balance shows as $1,050. This is because the $100 deposit is ignored for the purpose of the loss limit.

  • Player places another $50 and loses for a new balance of $1,000. The new balance for the following day will start at $1,000.

Please remember, that when setting or updating your limits, to click on the green tab marked “UPDATE LIMITS” at the bottom of the screen.

4)    Session Limits

For Players who just wish to control the amount of time they spend playing we also have available ‘Session Limits’.

A Session Limit  will monitor the time you have been logged on to your account and can be used if you want to introduce a maximum amount of time you spend at the games and wish to control this within your account settings.

Session limits work in the exact same way as shown in the Deposit Limits and Spend Limits but will be based on limiting your play time and not cash amounts. Please contact customer services should you require further assistance setting a time-based Session Limit.

Please remember, that when setting or updating your limits, to click on the green tab marked “UPDATE LIMITS” at the bottom of the screen.
